The Bootsman project in Ostend combines affordable and high-quality living in a green environment on the edge of Ostend’s city centre, a stone's throw from the station and harbour. Ciril developed five contemporary urban villas, each comprising around 18 different 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, a few commercial spaces, a number of modest apartments and an underground parking garage.
One person loves to have their home or second home on the vivacious boardwalk near the waterfront, another may prefer a greener environment near the coast. Bootsman favours the second group of people. Five contemporary urban villas offer 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, a few commercial spaces and an underground parking garage.
This PPP-development is located by the Maria Hendrika Park, a green oasis of peace and quiet in the centre of Ostend, on the former grounds of the Bootsman Jonsen naval barracks. A stone's throw away from the project you will find the marina, the station and the Mercator. The apartments all feature a large garden and / or a spacious terrace with frontal or side views over the park.
In terms of architecture, the expansive city pavilions were inspired by the listed officers mess of the old Bootsman barracks. This former military base forms the framework within which this project is situated. A new build that pays its respect to the old!
