Ciril launches Auguste

Close to the renovated Meiserplein, a new green housing project will soon be built. With 28 sustainable apartments, "Auguste" promises to be a meeting place for young families as well as ambitious starters and expats. The construction of the new site helps to cope with the population growth and housing pressure in Schaerbeek. After all, it will increase even further in the next five years. The first residents of "Auguste" will take up residence in the spring of 2023.

Over the past 15 years, the population in Schaerbeek has already grown by more than 20%. According to the forecasts of the Brussels Institute for Statistics and Analysis (BISA), the number of inhabitants will increase even further in the next five years, to more than 141,800. Schaerbeek thus remains the most densely populated municipality in the Brussels Region, after Brussels City. The increase in the number of inhabitants also further increases the housing pressure in the municipality. To cope with this, the municipality is working on sustainable and high-quality housing. "Auguste", a project of more than 3,000 square meters on the outskirts of the municipality, is completely in line with the vision that we have at Ciril.

The Reyers district is also one of the ten priority development poles in the Brussels Region. By 2030, the site must be a diverse and lively neighborhood with, among other things, media companies, shops, neighborhood services and a new park.

City garden

In concrete terms, the new housing project will be located at 34-38 Auguste Reyerslaan, hence the name "Auguste". Three townhouses will make way for a total of 26 new-build apartments with one, two or three bedrooms and 2 penthouses with three bedrooms. Each apartment will also have its own terrace. The showpiece is the shared urban garden of about 400 square meters, which will become a pleasant meeting place for the residents of "Auguste". The owners of the three single-storey houses will also have their own private garden at their disposal.

Because it is located at the "gateway" of Brussels, the project also offers many opportunities for commuters. Those who prefer a car or bicycle can also park them in the two underground car parks (24 parking places) or the bicycle shed (36 places) on the ground floor.

“Moreover, with schools, shops, parks and many companies and institutions within easy reach," Auguste "has everything it takes to create a healthy living mix. Young families, ambitious starters and expats will feel at home in no time. We are convinced that this project can contribute to relieving housing pressure in the municipality, without sacrificing quality or sustainability. ”

The construction works of "Auguste" will start early next year. As it looks now, the first residents will be able to move in from spring 2023.
