Update on the progress of project Le Jules

Le Jules in Evere is the transformation of a former office building into 80 modern apartments with additional offices and spaces for productive activities. This project, a unique combination of renovation and structural reconversion, is entering an important phase of construction work. Significant progress has been made in recent months, and we are pleased to provide a brief update.

 

Current activities

At the moment, various construction activities are underway, bringing the project closer to completion:

  • The building envelope is being finished, with stucco and masonry as key elements.
  • The construction and finishing of the steel balconies on the front and side façades, as well as the balcony structure at the rear, are well underway.
  • The construction of the canopy at the rear is in progress, a new feature that gives a modern touch to the building.
  • Inside the apartments, the focus is on further finishing, including painting. The next three months will focus on completing these major components and refining the interiors.

Expected delivery

The schedule is progressing as planned for the full delivery of Le Jules by June 2025. This means that the final phase will focus on the finishing details.

Visit from Housing Europe

Le Jules was acquired through the turnkey project group of the SLRB-BGHM (Brussels Regional Housing Agency), and the building will be managed by EVERECITY, ensuring professional management and a valuable addition to the housing provisions in the neighborhood.

Last week, we had the honor of welcoming an international delegation from Housing Europe to the construction site. During their visit, the representatives were given a tour where we proudly showcased the progress and innovative approach. The reconversion project includes, among other things, the repurposing of existing structures, with as much of the old building’s materials being reused as possible. This minimizes the environmental impact of the construction and contributes to a more sustainable project.

Le Jules is more than just a construction project. It forms a distinctive whole thanks to the combination of renovation and structural reconversion. The ingenious approach and sustainable solutions make the project both innovative and eco-friendly. The reuse of materials and the focus on sustainability are important pillars, reducing the ecological footprint.
