This means not only making our real estate projects increasingly sustainable but also transforming our entire business operations. And this effort has not gone unnoticed! We are pleased to announce that we have been recognized with the SDG Pioneer certificate, awarded by Voka as part of their Sustainable Business Charter (VCDO). We would like to explain what this title entails, what we have done to earn this recognition, and how we will continue to build on sustainability!
SDG Pioneer
The title "SDG Pioneer" is granted to companies actively dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. These goals, established in 2015 as a global roadmap for a more sustainable future by 2030, encompass issues such as climate action, gender equality, nature conservation, human rights, and more. SDG Pioneers are companies that not only acknowledge the SDGs but also take proactive steps to contribute to these global objectives. Sustainability has always been important at Ciril, but we are proud to have further refined our business operations to support the SDGs and make a more positive impact on our society and planet.

Sustainability Actions
This recognition is the result of numerous larger and smaller initiatives in which many people within our company have been involved. Some of our key efforts include comprehensive ESG reporting, where we promote transparency in our environmental, social, and governance practices, the Future-Fit journey that helps us develop with a stronger future orientation, various actions aimed at reducing CO2 emissions, improving energy efficiency, and using green energy, promoting circularity in our projects, thoughtful water management at our construction sites, and engagement in numerous social and safety initiatives for our office and construction site personnel. These efforts reflect our commitment to taking responsibility for people and the environment.

As SDG Pioneers, we will continue our journey to further integrate sustainability into all our business activities. The next step is to become an SDG Champion. To achieve this recognition, we must be VCDO laureates twice and take even more sustainability actions directly related to our project developments – greener, more circular, and more sustainable projects are on the horizon!
