Sales at our new, green residential development in the center of Mechelen are going very well. Over the course of the summer, the 18 corner apartments in the Désiré building went up for sale and sold out in no time. We then launched the official sale on September 15, with a first phase of two buildings at the heart of the neighborhood: Jules and Alfred. Only one week later, almost half of the 51 housing units had already been sold. Let there be no doubt: anyone who’d like to live in Maarten will have to be quick!
Living between park & canal
Maarten combines the possibilities of the city with the warmth of a pleasant neighborhood. Starting from a unique location between the water and the center of Mechelen, we’re creating a connected neighborhood with a green living street, a shared garden and a new park. Maarten strengthens the assets of the location and is adding new ones. Where there was water, there is now also green. Where there was city, there is now also peace. The versatile project is developing a sustainable, green neighborhood for today and tomorrow. Maarten will be an intimate place where people can live and experience, meet and relax. We are pleased that so many share our enthusiasm for the progressive project and have already found their new home in Désiré, Jules or Alfred!
The heart of Maarten: Jules & Alfred
Maarten consists of a family of seven buildings, built from the same materials in the same harmonious tones. Each has its own character due to its location, volume and rhythm. Maarten's architecture forms a backdrop for people and for greenery, with different housing types designed for a diverse group of residents. Jules and Alfred are located in the heart of Maarten and offer the best of the neighborhood. With apartments, penthouses and duplexes you’ll find all the possibilities for your own bright home in the green center of a lively city district, living by the new Rosier Park, the versatile shared garden and the quiet residential street. Discover the many living options .
Maarten Magazine
We also produced a beautiful lifestyle magazine about the housing project Maarten and the assets of Mechelen as a residential city in the brand-new Maarten Magazine. While browsing you’ll discover more on the architecture, tips for your interior, our vision on sustainability, the best spots in Mechelen, an interview with alderman Greet Geypen and lots of green reading material.
